P0138*&*P0158. Help with buying sensors.

How is everyone? I have the codes P0138*&*p0158, both applying to O2 sensors. I've used the stickied diagram to find the corresponding parts but have incorrectly purchased the wrong sensors twice.

I know this a bit much to ask but can someone whose had these SES codes supply me with some part #'s or links to the correct parts? Thanks guys, appreciate all and any help.

P0138 = B1 S2 = Right bank (closest to firewall) Rear sensor
P0158 = B2 S2 = Left bank Rear sensor

They are different in the different years and Fed. or Cal. emissions.

Not sure about the US, but I know that in Canada the OEM O2 sensors are about the same cost as the aftermarket sensors.

With out knowing what year & emissions you have this is the best I can do.

Thanks for the quick reply man, much appreciated. My problem is that I know which banks and sensors each code is for but most websites don't accurately label the part. For example I bought Bosch Sensors 15224 & 15225. I bring them to mechanic to install and he says it is incorrect. I checked numerous websites and all told me that those correspond to the proper sensor and bank.

What I'm asking for is if someone could provide me a link or a part number for a sensor that would fix each respected code?

did you just buy the sensors or did you get them with the plug and wire attached to them already. If you bought them from the dealer they come with the wire and plug so you can do it yourself. Since you most likely bought just the sensor im gonna say your mechanic is lazy and doesnt want to splice wires. Hey what year is you car?

If you want oem parts search for Dave B on here and give him a call about how much the oem ones cost, good thing about the oem ones is that they come with the correct amount of wire and plug plus the wires are different color that way you cant confuse them

First thanks for the response man. I bought the Bosch "OE type" replacements. They came with the full wire and everything but he said that they weren't the correct application. He popped the hood and showed me where they should go. The ones I bought had pins as if they were to be mounted underneath the car. I was told by Bosch and a few auto stores that these were the correct parts.

I asked about an O2 Sim but he complained about how they're more trouble than benefit...blah blah blah.
