I bought my car without stock floormats, I have some nasty mats which don't fit right at all and slide around. I wanted to get just BLACK floormats, but I don't think I ever saw a 4th gen even with a black interior that had black floormats... All 4th gens with black interiors I ever saw had grey mats

Were black floormats made for 4th gens?

yes, my friend had a 99se he just sold to lease a 2k2 6 speed, and he had black floor mats with black leather inetrior.

 

Was it just an SE, or an SE-L???? And are you positive it was the floormats that you can take out? (I am reffering to the floormats that are removable, not the carpeting)


either way, I will probably try the dealer, find out if such things exist, just thought I'd ask u guys 1st..

my '99 SE-L came with the black floormats. looks real nice with my black leather interior.

it does not hurt to dream on for a black leather interior and black dashboard........ poor baby sleeps and sees only black interior for his Maxima

 

I WILL have black floor mats and black leather!!!... regardless of my tan interior!!!!!! I don't have time to clean my tan carpets every day, black is so much easier to keep clean

 

you can probably order them from courtesy nissan. Not sure tho.

my car came with greyish floor mats(nissan ones) but they were shot so i ordered a new pair of black from my local dealer but got that grey again, the guy told me that they never made them in black cause of the color difference in the floor carpet color. Thats why nissan only made them in that sand color and grey :/

I have black floor mats in my 99-SE. It is Sterling Mist with grey cloth interior but the Mats are Black and they DO NOT look bad.

Yea, that's exactly what I am talking about... I have never seen, or heard of 4th gens with black floormats....
However, judging from the responses, they came on 99s only.. w/ black/charcoal interiors...

I've seen floormats that have a little SE logo on the side and wanted to buy those but I could never seem to find them anymore.

 

Actually the color isn't called black by Nissan, it's called charcoal. Close enough to black for me though!

 

I am going to get some.

 

I ordered some charcoal floor mats recently and got the stupid grey one's again. I'm going to see if the 2000 mats will fit in the 99 SE because they are black. CHARCOAL is not black, it's just dark grey... for the people who said they have black factory floormats (not talking about the carpeting) the removable floor mats with MAXIMA on them.... are they really BLACK???? or dark gray?

Deezo, i remember you mentioning you want to change your carpets to black, but do you want to change the carpets or the floor mats?

 

96 gxe with black leather/black dash etc/black-ish factory floormats that say MAXIMA on them
