heys what's up jess. I'm interested in some HID's. a few questions though. I'm new at the HID stuff. always wanted some but hadn't looked into it until now.

1. I have my 2001 AE max. factory headlights with the halogen 9003 bulbs. what bulb would i need for it to fit my factory housing or will they all fit? I do know that i want the 8000k brightness. and i do want the bi-xenon slim ballast ones with the hi/low beam.

2. How hard are these things to install? I see some on the internet that are plug and play, are these the same?

Thank
Tri

oh by the way, did you ever get rid of your max? I remember you told me you were upgrading to something better, can't remember what though.

Hey Tri,

Answer1: The bulb will be the same as your factory housing 9003 bulb. I can get a 9003 8K bi-xenon kit for you, but will have to check if I can get the slim ballast for you also.

Answer2: They're fairly simple to install. Just remove the old bulbs and unplug the connectors. Then install the xenon bulbs and plug in the connectors to the new harnesses that come with the kit.

LoL nope still have the Max, I was going to upgrade this year but times are tough.

sounds awesome, I definetly want some but just had a P0430 code b/c of my front precat. I poured some seafoam into it and had my buddy's shop clear the code. just waiting now to see if it comes back or not, if it doesn't come back on then i'm gonna get these HID's from ya.Otherwise I'll have to spend the money on getting it fixed. If you can't get the slim ballast don't worry about it, i'm sure i can fit the ballast somewhere. gotta spend my money wisely, lol. sounds easy enough on installing the lights, thanks for the info. I'll let you know. thanks

whats up Jess, so I have decided to go ahead and purchase these HID's from you. $100 shipped right? Let me know if you found any slim ballast. If not then it's ok. Do you take paypal? I'm ready to go whenever you are.

hey it's me again. sorry I spoke to soon about the lights. Turns out my code never came back on but tonight after I got off work my clutch went completely out. I was in second gear and heard a pop and some grinding, no movement and a burnt smell. Hopefully it's just my clutch and not the whole tranny. I'll let you know when I get ready to get these lights from ya. thanks

I can get you the 12k and those are much blue. The higher you go after that it ends up being purple.

Usually the higher in K(elvin) the lower the lumens. So say 4300K will appear brighter in lumens (light output) than a kit with 8000k.
