Technical Question

Ok heres my problem, over the past few weeks I have noticed a few things about my car. First of all when I first start the car and drive, I notice a clicking-type noise. To me it actually sounds like more of a vibrating sort of noise but it comes from the front passenger side of the car. It happens on hard acceleration regardless of whether or not I am turning. People have told me it's the CV joint but I'm not exactly positive. I checked for grease in that area to confirm but I havent found any.

Now I have noticed something else about the car more recently. Whenever I get above about 55-60 mph the car gets real bumpy like Im driving on a gravel road almost. Past 75 it gets better but the vibration still is there but sporadicly (sp?)

Now I have only two guesses, CV joint or wheel bearing. What do you guys think? More importantly, what are the consequences of driving on it?

The fact that it doesn't depend on turning makes me think CV joint. The wheel bearing would make a noise in response to a directionally changing load, so you would only hear that when turning. At what speeds do you hear the clicking? Does it fade at a certain speed?
