This is another 3.5 out of an 08 Quest van.Motor has a little over 28k miles on it.We swapped a new motor in because it does have a slight smoke on startup after sitting for a day or so.The motor does not consume any oil though that is noticable between regular oil changes.No leaks anywhere and the motor is pretty clean comes with what you see in the pics.Asking $550 or best offer local pickup preferred in Knoxville,Tn or i would be willing to meet in my truck for delivery for cost of gas if not too far of a distance.Thanks for looking.

 

If the motor doesnt sell, someone get me a hookup on some cam adapters for the swap thanks! :P

^no, revup motors were only in the 350Z&G35, basically rwd motors only, that has the normal DE cams&oil pump.

If theres a slight poof on start up, could it get worse with time ?

 

It could possibly,but if it's any worry to ya i was going to use this motor as is in my daily driver 97,i've just gotten sidetracked on another project for the Max ATM.It does not consume any oil though so that's a bonus,the symptoms are more like a valve guide and when it does the "poof" of smoke it doesnt even last 5 seconds or so after sitting awhile.By awhile it has to sit for a couple days to make it "poof"BTW compression #'s before we pulled it were 185-189 across all cylinders....That's another reason why i kept this one Minimum compression numbers are 142 per Nissan,New 3.5 from Nissan has a 190 compression.So i would very highly bank on it being a oil guide making the poof.I also have a set of 3.5 heads/cams if anyone needs them for a project make me an offer

Thanks and yes it will fit an 02 Max, also i was off on max compression from the factory i apologize they are 185-142 on those numbers.
I didn't have my Assist computer in front of me when i posted them up.

So compression numbers are actually excellent!

 

Since I can't view the pictures here at work, J.P., would you let me know how "complete" this engine is? Shipping quote to 70769? I could also ask a few friends for some quotes, how heavy is the shipment? Lemme know so I can get this thing from ya, thanks.
