How Hard is it to swap from a auto trans to a manual trans. Is it worth it buying new car is not an option.

 

its doable but can be costly if you doing it not yourself.

 

why is buying a new car not an option? doing the swap is going to be a pain in the *** and is going to be pretty expensive. The general consensus is that it is less expensive to sell your car and buy one with a manual than doing a swap

 

yea itll be the worst headache you'll ever had. like i said i did mine and i love it but its very costly so your better off just buying a new car and get wat you really want

This exact question literally comes up once a week. It is not hard to do the actual tranny swap, but all the small things that are required to make it work properly makes it not only expensive, but not worth all the work. I'm in the same position as you, I wish I could swap a manual tranny in my GLE as well. It is deffinatley easier, and cheaper to sell you car and buy a 6mt.
