FS Rare 95/96 All-Clear Tailights

Hello

I have a brand new set of 95-96 all clear tailights made from APC. There are the same taillights that DavidL used to make his taillights. I brought two sets and I have one extra set. I am looking for 200 plus shipping. I will take MO or paypal. Buyer is responsible for all paypal fees.

Here are some pictures.

Why would you buy the inner tails when the ones you need are already on your car and that there are no aftermarket inners for these tails. I don't see why anyone would opt for eBay red/clears or ricer altezzas for the 95-96

glws

They can be done to look very close, they wont be perfect but will look better then any other 95-96 tailight options out there.

You being a NEWB, dont know any better but for a while these things did easily go for 250-300 for the outer since they were discontinued a while back.
Now days, people seem to rather just do the 97-99 conversion.
I personally always liked the 95-96 David L styled red clears better.

Good luck with the sale. The reason that these are so rare and so expensive is because these were made illegal by the DOT, so APC had to stop producing them. There was a member here called DavidL, he lived on LI, NY. He would split the tails apart (the same way that 97-99 red/clears are made) and paint the inside to an almost exact match of the inner tails.

Once they weren't produced anymore the price went way way up, just as Flava said.

Basically, these are super super rare now and they're worth every penny. The 95-96 red/clears that are "produced" now have had problems as well as their "diamond cut" lenses don't look stock.

Makes good sense, perfect explanation of everything.

do you know how...or why the new saabs can come with all clear taillights nowadays and that be factory? thas been on my mind for a while...if these old school clear taillights were illegal (even with proper colored bulbs in place), what makes them so different from the saabs?

Sabb kills old Nissan because they look more OEM on the Sabb. Also, its a CA law that no white light faces rearwards, so if you have yellow light/reflector, it would be legal, as long as the cop is cool. But that may not work because the cop could be ignorant.

The clear tails were one the the most unique looks fotr the 4th gen. Many people did paint them but I liked the all clear look with the red on the inside. Very hard to find today. I had made the tails legal by putting red bulbs on the lower outter section. So the OEM tails on the trunk lid had a red reflector (making it legal) and when the lights were on or the brake was applied the entire bottom was red. Looked really cool! I gotta pic an old pic!

Hmmm... odd that all clears are illegal. There are a couple Cadillacs and other cars here and there I have seen with all clear tails that come from factory.

I think the laws in WA is that as long as it shines red when braking and orange when signaling to turn, then its okay.

But if there are those people who put green or blue bulbs in there then...........

OH! And good luck with sale, I wish they fit a 97, because the all clear look to me is AWESOME.
