difference in front strut tower brace

hey all, i have a quick question about all the different kinds of fstb's available out there. i have done some browsing, and have seen brands from cattman, stillen, megan, tanabe, and the ever so cracked on "ebay special's", etc.

now my question is what is the difference between them all, i know some such as the cattman is pretty thick, as it is two thinner bars conformed into one piece, as say the stillen brand, which is noticeably thinner in design. does any of this matter in making the decision of which one may be more functional, or does this not matter, as any type of brace will help the same?

rigidity is the difference. most ebay bars are so flimsy you can bend them by hand.

My Ebay bar was decent but, poor motor mounts caused it to crack a EVAP part (not really a big deal). Cattman is no longer produced and the stillen bar is great, looks hollow but is a really sold piece. Most will say they do nothing for handling. I beg to differ.

Get one for a 5th gen. The brackets are in a complete circle like the Stillen one, instead of the half moon ones.

I got mine from eBay and it seems to be pretty tough, not hollow and it had the semi circles. Nothing seems wrong with it yet and i've had it over 3yrs now.....
