timing belt or chain???

How do I know if my 97 Se has a timing belt or chain?

heres how you kno...

1. open your hood
2. look at your engine
3. if it says v6 3000 then you have a timing chain.

You're all wrong.

You have a timing belt. It's one of the belts on the right side of the motor near the battery.
