took the beater to the track

Bunch of friends were headed to the track so I decided to take the beater, since I'm working on a few things on the turbo car. Its a base 97 5spd GXE i picked up for a few hundred bucks, 160k miles and haven't done any of the basic maintenance. I did put my DRs on there but that didn't help my 60s, still have figured out a good launch technique with them. I was expecting to run somewhere around a mid 15. Anyway, here is the 3 runs I got in before it started raining.

60'--------2.197
1/4--------14.924
MPH-------93.22

60'--------2.254
1/4--------14.926
MPH-------92.76

60'--------2.218
1/4--------14.854
MPH-------93.46

I do have a y-pipe & 00vi laying around, hmm I told myself I wouldn't mod it but I'm getting the itch lol

Wow, isn't that close to the best 4th gen time aside from Neals 14.5 or whatever it was....

Just goes to show how Nissan engines are workhorses!

Some very consistent runs - not bad times for a totally stock 13 year old car.

you've got a low 14.7 or maybe a high 14.6 in that car with a good launch. nice.

motor appears to be in good shape dude you pulled in some nice times, seeing this is tempting me to take my moms 97 GXE to the track to see how it does...original owner with a healthy motor as well
