5.5 Seats in to a 5th gen

Well as I was at the wreckers picking up my spindle I grabbed a pair of 5.5 gen leathers for a decent price to replace my old ones. As i was about to install the drivers side I noticed the plugs were different for the controls(due to seat memory i believe) Now my question is.

Is there an simple solution to this with out hacking in to the seat harness? I read swapping the seat motors. Has anybody done this? Is there another method?

i swapped i35 seats to my 00 maxima. you have to cut your 2 prong power harness from the car and connect the black to the 2 blacks from the seat. And the yellow from your car to the red and white from the seat.. Use tons of electrical tape and heat shrink or else you may cause a short circuit when hitting pot holes or something.

So I need to attach the black from my car harness to the two blacks on this clip. And the yellow from my car to the red and white. And that makes the seat controls work?

correct my i35 seats were the same. They have an ecu looking piece under the seat. Yellow from your car goes with Red & White wire and the 2 blacks from the seat go to the one black from your car. Try that out and let me know.

Okay I'll try that don't really want to cut into the cars harness but if thats what has to be done. What about the rest of the wires on the original clip from the body harness? Do they just get cut and taped of or do they get hooked up to the same colours from the new harness?

what i told you is for the power seats. one other harness goes with seat belt for the seats and the third harness is for the heated seats. Everything should be plug and play except for the power harness.

okay excellent figured that. I just had a look as I have the harness for the passenger seat here and what you said seems to be right. For the power controls on it theres just a white and red and a black so makes sense. Thanks a lot for the help.
