Who upgraded from 4th-gen to 5th-gen?

Any of you who had a 4th-gen Maxima and bought a 5th-gen, which mods were you successful in transplanting, if any?

I am particularly interested in whether the Stillen rear sway bar from the 4th-gen Max fits the 5th-gen. Are those little blue brackets reusable or do you need to get different mounting hardware from Stillen? Or is the entire bar not even usable?

Can you explain what you mean by "tighter fit" exactly? Is it the bar itself, or the brackets you are speaking of? And do you know if Stillen sells the exact same bar for 5th and 4th-gen or is it different, and are we adapting something that wasn't meant to be adapted? Just curious.

This doesn't apply to me but from my experience the Stillen RSB was from a 4th gen Max and it only had four holes on the bar thus it didn't fit as it was recommended in the instructions. i had to drill the missing hole before i got it to fit like they (stillen recommends) which holes 3 adn 5 i believe. I think other 4th gen RSB from Stillen might have had the 5 holes on each side. In any case the RSB still fit only not they way it was recommended for the 5th gen.

I "upgraded"

I have no mods on the 5th gen, don't plan on it since I have the AE. It's hard to get that bang for buck from a FWD, without alot of tire, and susp. upgrades ...

My Addco RSB fit perfectly. It did not seem as noticable as it was on my 95 and 98 though. I am getting a FSTB for Xmas, hopefully that will make me satisfied with the car's handeling.

My 4th Gen was completely totaled...
so, I wasn't able to transfer any mods.

The 4th gen FSTB will fit, you just need to hack off the a little bit of the stock airbox bracket.

i think the bend is off on a 2k2 also, the new air intake gets in the way.
