You will need to check... The arm rest out of 96 was a little longer than the arm rests out of the 97's... i dont know if the difference is between the models or the years. But with all that said i have one in pretty good condition that ill sell for $25 shipped. Let me know if interested. Ill post pics in a about an hour or so.

 

I have an armrest from a 97 console that is in great shape, with no tears or rips...$25 shipped, just let me know.
I'm going to the beach for the weekend though and may not get back until Monday.
Only reason I'm replacing is to put on a custom one.

 

A friends does custom arm rests... Its covered in the carbon fiber material with extra padding at the spot where the elbow rests(at least with a 5sp) he charges $15 to cover it. You wld have to ship here and back though. Its 37801 maryville tn

Its not perfect as you can see in the last picture. This is the stock arm rest. It is a little bit shorter than the one in my interior swap... So if it fits your car, $25 shipped.
