Need some advice (LED Mod, Pre-cut window tint)
I am wanting to do the LED mod in my car for most of my interior lights but I'm not sure what the lights are supposed to look like. I know which kinds I'm supposed to buy, but if an org member could confirm that I'm buying the right ones that would make it less stressful on me lol.
The bulbs for the 194 Conversion Mod

Bulbs for the LED Power Windows

Bulbs for the AC Controls, Hazards, and Defrosters

Bulbs for the Gauge Needles
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_2131wt_939
Thats it for the LED mod, now I am interested in buying some pre-cut tint for my max off of ebay as well. My friends did it with my civic and it turned out pretty decent. I'm planning on doing it in my garage so there is little wind / chances of picking up dust. Anybody have luck with this company??

One last thing do you guys trust tail lights and bumper lights off of ebay?
Thanks for your input.

I cant help you with the tint as I always had a shop do mine. But the LEDs all look right. You might have hotspots with the ones for the gauges though. Try looking for ones with the inverted tip. They spread the light out more.
Window Tint
Based on experience, removing and putting on tints is complicated. The complex glass curvature and heat-shrinking are far too difficult. So I suggest you leave the job to the professionals. I consult the expert on tints at www.TintBuyer.com for my window tinting needs, they provided quotations, tint law in every state and locate the best professional tint installer near my area. I hope this helps
I do tints myself on all my cars.
I have used every tint Autozone has to offer. There are 3 types.
The cheapest tint uses adhesive to adhere to the windows and is damn near impossible to remove once it dries onto the window and will glue to itself if u allow it to.
The second cheapest, which is super easy to remove and wont stick to itself and goes on super easy\, doesnt use adhesive but clings to window nicely.
The last and most expesnsive tint uses a less sitcky adhesive, but looks like crap and still will stick to itself if u let it. It is not very dark. 35% wont even look like tint. 20% looks like 50%. 5% looks like 35%. It sucks so badddddd.
THe best tint to use in my opinion is the 2nd tint i mentioned. Its easily removable and 35% is very nice, dark enough at night and a lil dark at day too. 20% looks really dark, like even in the day ppl will have trouble lookin into the car and seening anything. 5% is LIMO. I have had all three. 35% is the best to me.
THe best feature about the tint is that if it does stick to itself, it un-clings very easy and wont mess up the tint w/ wirinkles. U DONT WANT WRINKLES in the tint. THe other 2 tints, when they wrinkle jus forget it, the tint is done. the first one i mentioned above wont even uncling if it gets stuck together, sucks.
When u do the tint, make sure the window is SUPER clean. If there are any lil hairs or lil particles it will make like bubbles in the tint. Since u have a gargage it will be better. I do my tints outdoors so i needed a whole procedure:
Wash the window, then dry with paper towel. Then take a straight edge razor and scrape window. Then right before u ready to apply tint WIPE it down again, and scrape with razor again, spray with film generously then apply tint.
Thats all my hints. the others hints i wd have to show u for u to really understand. I did mine outside and it came out good. I used the second tint i mentioned. 35%. very few bubbles on the rear. None on the fronts. The best part is, if i really wanna be **** then i can redo the tint, using the same tint. Jus peel up the tint, SUPER clean, and reapply. No bubbles whatsoever. But since it came out very good, i dont really have to. Its not perfect, but its very good. I get compliments all the time.
Keep in mind, tinting by yurself takes time. took me 4 hrs to complete the rear window. 4 hrs for the rear sides. 3 hrs for the fronts. all on separate days

The whole car turned out really nice only one part of my drivers side window got messed up when he dropped my window and a part of the tint ripped. I want to attempt the back window on my maxima now (since the window is at less of an angle). Hopefully it works out well. I'll update with some before pics and afters
.
I'm waiting on my LEDs to get in... This is the last time I buy LEDs from HK, takes toooo long to ship...
. I paid a little extra and have most of my LED's coming from the US. I think I may have screwed myself though, I ordered the 194 inverted bulbs so they probably won't fit
. I was reading though that you can install 194 bulbs in a maxima it just requires some dremel work.
