The current owner says, "The car runs well except for a minor valve problem. The car may stall out while idle (it has happened to me three times within the last year.) Giving the car gas or putting the car in park prevents the stall. The valve needs to be replaced or needs a fuel injection." would this be an appropriate diagnosis to give and the car has 196000 miles on it by the way?

 

sounds like it might be a spark plug mis fire. had a previous car doing the same thing...I suggest checking the codes to see what problem shows up first. best way and will save money in the long run lol.

 

sounds like the idle is too low. just crank up the iacv for now

 

Could be the EGR valve he's referring to.

 

Funny I read this... my car only started to 'buck' when at a stop light. It doesn't happen a lot, only once every 10-15 days. I thought it was me, but after reading this thread, I think I'm going to check the spark plugs!
