taillight is free of any chips, breaks, leaks etc in the plastic? may i ask why you were trying to heat up the back of the taillight?

 

No leaks, no cracks as for the heat gun I was actually making a grounding kit and did not think it would damage the taillight from a 3 to 4 foot range that was between gun and the taillight. I guess I should be happy that I was going to sell the harness separate to another org member (he reneged) and had it off of the taillight or it would have been damaged too.

 

damn!!! how much did the hole shrink? will the bulb go in at all?

 

No the bulb won't go at all. It is probably about a couple of millimeters difference but that hole was a tight fit for the bulb from the get go. that why a dremel tool will be needed to fix it.
