My auto is working but its not new and i have 197k miles on it.

Id much rather have a mt, I just wonder if theres anything different about it?

You could always try to find an I30T. Those came in manual.

 

certain years there were and certain years there were absolutely no i30s with a manual sold in the us

i challenge you to show me one for sale anywhere, do a craigslist search for the whole US, ebay whatever. You might find one but you might not. I bet there are more homemade manual conversions out there.

A32 i30s always had an option for the 5 speed. (96-99) A33's didnt. (00-03). Swaping to 5 speed is not that hard of a process. If you've ever droped a tranny before, you can do it.

 

Oh ok well I stand corrected sort of. I wasnt specific on the models because I dont remember them but i did look at the consumer guide on the i30.

What Ive never looked up is the breakdown of production, for the us market.

Having it be an option is way cool but the thing is there are some years where its so rare....

All Id say is the same thing youd say, finding a manual i30 on the used market is going to be difficult.

If anyone wants to trade plus cash Id do it. Hard to describe my i30 but its in better condition than most any 98 and it has a rebuilt motor with 50k miles, all maintenance current. Its a gem but Id trade it with cash? no takers?

Getting swapped as we speak. S/C blew the tranny in 2-3 weeks.

 

mine came with manual, there was no way im going back to autotragic after my th350 on my elky blew an then a month later the 4 year old trans on my 94 satty died. no thank you!

 

Im 5spd swapped. And correction, its gen 1 I30 not gen 4.

And what do you mean your I30t WAS 5spd? Did you sell yours?

 

So those of you who have an I30 that came with the factory manual trans.... does that mean you have the LSD trans?

Yeah I think I might just do the 3.5 swap and get a manual with it in my 2000. I really wanna supercharge it too . Any suggestions on a good site that has supercharged modded motors for sale?
