Need assistance adjusting clutch

Hey all, need a little assistance here.

Just picked up a 2000 for a smoking price. Very happy.

Anyway, the car runs and drives fine, the only problem is the clutch catches RIGHT at the floor.

And I mean, RIGHT at the floor.

Slightly above floor, nothing. It's gotta be depressed fully for the clutch to engage/disengage.

A brand new clutch, and new clutch lines were installed prior to my purchase of the car.

My question is, can thsi be adjusted, and how? I was looking at the FSM, and it seems I can adjust height and play, but it doesn't show how to adjust where it catches.

I just need it to catch farther up because, quite frankly, my wife can't reach. Legs too short and stubby I guess.

Thanks!

And how good was smoking?

Since the clutch was recently replaced, take it to the same shop. Can you do that?

No, not possible.

I can, however, tear into the car and inspect the clutch and lines, and see if it's just shoddy work or whatnot.

I have no problem working on my own cars. I am just as of yet unfamiliar with the Maxima, and was unsure if there is an adjustment for it or not.

Some cars i've had you can adjust it, others i've had did not have that ability.

I guess the Max isn't one of those cars.

Ah well, if anyone has any input, please speak up.

Otherwise, i'll put it up on stands tomorrow morning and start tearing it apart.

As far as the deal, 2000 SE, all options except Bose and leather.
180k on it.
New alt, clutch, lines. Clear title, clean carfax.
Body in 8/10 condition. Couple small areas that need touch up, that's it.
No damage, dents, dings, or cracks.
Runs and drives perfect.

1700 cash.

Really can't complain, even if I have to redo the clutch. No biggie, should only take me half a day. (esitmate, again, i'm new to the 5th gen)
