Have you tried to fix it yet? They ARE repairable.

That is expensive, why not check out one of those ebay flexible LED strips? They are only about 10 bucks. Im sure if you are creative enough you can rig it up to work.

I am in the process of painting my car and I ordered a new spoiler that came with a new LED, so mine is up for grabs. I can send a pic if you like. I will be cutting the connector off of the end though, but that shouldn't be an issue for you.

You can even get smoked or clear lens. Also if you don't see it they do have it. Just compare to what you by the tabs and hols and length.

There is no LED strip, per se. It's all discrete LEDs.

LEDs almost never die unless they are feed too much power. If you are interested in having it fixed, send me a PM.

Well I sent spoilerlights.com an email and I'll see how much they'll charge in the end.

gave them all the info i got.
1995 Nissan Maxima SE with a NISSAN Brand Spoiler Light that clearly reads "NISSAN DOT SAE U 92 ICHIKOH 4727 JAPAN.

My 15.5-15.7" Spoiler is mounted with 3 tabs using philips screws to hold the light into place. The tabs are on the both immediate edges and one directly in the middle at the 8" mark.

I attached 3 pics so that you can see that it is rounded off at the ends facing the rear of the vehicle.

Im expecting to pay no more than $50. Otherwise I'll give ajm8127a shout

I was given a prompt response at the site. They informed me that its a factory spoiler light from Nissan costing $200. They sell a similar version without the tabs. It will stick on with 3m adhesive tape. I pasted a portion of the email below. Im gonna buy their version after Im sure its a match tomorrow.

Thank you for contacting spoilerlights.com! I believe I know the light you have but unfortunately we do not carry it. It is only available through Nissan. I have attached a photo of this light to this email for you to view and verify. If this is not your light, please contact me and I will help you locate the appropriate replacement for your vehicle. We currently offer two options to customers that have this spoiler light equipped on their vehicle. The first option is that you purchase a new spoiler light replacement from your local Nissan dealer for upwards of $200. The second option is to purchase an alternative light we carry that has the same shape of your light and has been tested to fit your spoiler on your Maxima. The only difference between this light and the factory light is it is mounted with adhesive tape instead of 3 screw tabs. The cost of this light is $44.95.

DISCLAIMER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
If you choose to purchase the alternative light we carry we must advise you that we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your vehicle or yourself that could occur during the removal/installation of your spoiler light. We recommend that you seek professional installation assistance from an automotive electronic specialist in installing your spoiler light. Our advice is offered as a guide and courtesy to our customers. These instructions are general in nature and some vehicles may require additional or varying steps to successfully remove and install your spoiler light. Failure to read all of the instructions in their entirety and/or following these steps properly may result in damage to your vehicle. Proceed at your own risk! In addition, we also recommend you view our documentation regarding the 3-year limited-warranty on all of our products in the following link before attempting to remove or install your spoiler light:
http://www.spoilerlights.com/servlet...e=faq#warranty

Alternative to OEM Nissan Maxima Spoiler Light
Our spoiler light alternative to the OEM Nissan Maxima light is our 15.5" Quarter Round Red Spoiler Light (No Tabs). This light is mounted with 3M adhesive tape instead of by three mounting screws.

Connecting Your Spoiler Light
Our light does not come with a factory Nissan electrical plug to connect your light. We recommend that you use the electrical connector on your old spoiler light. To do this you must first remove the spoiler light from the vehicle and disconnect the plug from the wiring that connects to your vehicle. DO NOT CUT OFF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR THAT IS WIRED TO YOUR VEHICLE!

To remove the electrical connector that is connected to your old spoiler light you will need to cut the wiring as close as you can to the spoiler light housing. PLEASE NOTE: When cutting off the old connector on your spoiler light, please allow an adequate amount of wiring to connect it to the wiring of your new light. If you cut too much of the wiring you may have a very difficult time of connecting the electrical plug. The wiring of spoiler lights is very simple in nature. There is a black wire (Ground Wire) and a red wire (Power Wire). It is very similar to that of an audio speaker. You will want to splice the wiring and connect the wires to the appropriate power and ground wires on the wiring from the new spoiler light to the electrical plug. After doing this, we recommend you plug the light into the connector that is wired to your vehicle and test the light to see if it lights up. Once you have established the light is working, we recommend you connect the wires using electrical connectors. We also recommend you cover any exposed wiring with black electrical tape. The electrical connectors will ensure a solid connection and the electrical tape will help reduce the risk of the wires shorting out by coming in contact with one another.

Installing Your Spoiler Light with 3M Adhesive Tape
Before attempting to mount the light to your vehicle, we recommend you test the light a second time to make sure it lights up and is working properly. To install the light, you will need to clean the mounting surface of your spoiler with a light mixture of soap and water to ensure a clean mounting surface. The 3M tape will not stick properly if you attempt to mount the light to a dirty surface. Once the surface has been cleaned and dried thoroughly with a towel, you will then want to line one entire side of your new spoiler light with 3M adhesive tape (Not Included). You will use the 3M adhesive tape to mount (stick) your light into the slot of your spoiler. To install the light, simply peel off the protective covering of the 3M adhesive tape, line up the spoiler light properly in the slot of the spoiler, and firmly apply the light to the surface.

If you feel you are unable to perform the instructions listed above we recommend you purchase the OEM spoiler light directly from Nissan and have it installed by a professional auto mechanic.

You may view our 15.5" Quarter Round Red Spoiler Light (No tabs) directly on our website by clicking on the link listed below:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

There is an excellent chance that no LEDs need replacing at all, it's more likely a bad/corroded solder joint or trace. Since you have commited to buying a new one you have nothing to lose trying to fix the old one.

Exactly. You might just have a corroded resistor - like I had. I bought a 2-pack of resistors at Radio Shack for under a buck, soldered a new one on, siliconed the lens back together, and it's worked fine since fixing many years ago.
