Transmission Problem...

Car is 03 Max 140k on it, hit the freeway doing 80 got off about 7 miles later, at a red light, it turns green car gets to about 2100rpm, and barely start moving and it seem's like I have no power car only goes to about 60 like in 12 to 15 secs. and when try to throw it in reverse it doesn't do nothing but Rev Up like I'm in Neutral!!

Any ideas is appreciated and if needed get a used tranny or a rebuild?
Thanks!!

You could try flushing the tranny fluid a few times and changing the filter, worked on my old camry right before I totaled her.

There's another recent thread similar to your issue. That thread points to the transmission revolution sensor as the fix.

yep -

check / change your tranny fluid and filter and make sure theres no metal fragments. if your tranny is good then it could be the sensor on the trans itself.

make sure you unplug the battery overnight after you switch out the sensors (and TCM if you do that)

No. The symptons the OP described doesnt sound the same.

Personally, I'd start with:

1.) Park/Neutral Saftey Switch
2.) MAF
3.) Pre-Cats

Trust me on this-find a low mileage used one. Maybe 0.5% of all transmission shops really know how to rebuild an import transmission. The rest just throw in some new clutch packs and put it back together and hope it last long enough to get past the warranty. If they don't drop the valve body and completely go through that, guaranteed you will have issues.

Yeah I know but they broke it all down to see what was the problem and the gear for reverse had broke off so he replaced that with a new one and threw in the clutch packs he had a 03 Altima with the same problem if it does happen pass the warranty will get a used one looking for a 04 05 Engine next year if I keep on getting this oil burner cause damn feel the car has the power but who knows for how long burns oil pretty bad!!

Hey I post my question in another transmission problem related thread but the link I was provided probably not fitting my issue.

I get transmission jerk while shifting from 1st to 2nd ( mine is 2004 Auto SE )..BUT this happens only when the temperature gauge reads near the C..lets say wen i start my car in the morming or after 3/4 hrs..it starts to jerk while shifting..then after few mins when the gauge goes to the middle of c -H ( normal operating temp)..evrything becomes normal..smooth shifting..

am not an expert but i think my transmission is not went bad..i changed my tranny fluid in dealership 2/3 months ago and they dint notice and metals or burnt fluid..
could it be because of thicker fluid which is not providing enuf viscosity when its little cold ? just a thot..may be i can change the fluid again with new one..pls suggest

same thing happened with a previous car. you probably clogged the filter with clutch material so new fluid and filter fixed it for a while. then the new fluid has detergent in it so it broke free even more clutch material and clogged it again. new filter would probably fix it for a few more months.
