It goes in to the fender, so you would have to cut a whole in front of the blowers inlet and route a CAI pipe into the fender area.

Thanks for the pic flava. Could you please describe the piping and couplers you have for the CAI? Pic's are worth a thousand words. I looked in there and saw I'll need to open up the hole in the fender and looked like the pipe going to the filter will be at a downward angle. Most importantly, what differences/gains have you seen/felt with the CAI? Secondtonone had a smaller CAI with smaller piping and saw up to 2psi more on cooler days. If someone is interested in purchasing this I would highly recommend it. Also just a thought, wonder if installing louvers/vents in the wheel well and/or fender would help the CAI, like on the audi TT which gti 1.8t's use as a mod and cools their intercooler better.

item is sold. you need a coupler and a 90 degree bend pipe. stock KN filter cant supply more than 6psi worht of air. once u go CAI, larger filter will accomdate for 12-13 psi applications. all about airflow with limited space in the bay itslef
