Yea i know there could be some hidden issues and i've got the time, money, and the know how to fix the minor things that are no doubt wrong with the car. It won't be my only car and all I'm really looking for is a project car and it fits the bill. Plus i've got a really good friend who is willing to go in with me on this so any problem that does come along it's not a REAL big deal because I still have a car to drive if it has to sit for a little bit.

well, sounds like a really damn good deal, i bought mine for 2000 with 230k miles im at 295k miles today and haven't really has any problems and i dog mine so im really happy with mine. i'd say your getting a damn good deal even know i dont like the tan interior i like my black leather.

I'd say go for it and you could get another 100,000 miles out of it! by that time you can swap in the new maxima 3.5 motor 300hp in it!

if you need anyhelp maxima.org is a damn good site and we will help you through ANY problems you may have.

good luck. thats a damn good price man!

Oh yea definitely. I know this place is really good for help and for conversations, even the pointless ones because I jump in from time to time, lol. But the more I think about it the more i'm seeing the pros. Of course there are some cons but they are definitely outweighed. i've got somethings I want to do with it. My number one priorty after i fix the problems it may have is swap the auto for a 5spd or even 6spd if possible. Then of course I wanna do the 00vi swap for the intake. After that it's up to my imagination. I've seen some real nice 4th gens around here and on the org and that broke me out of the 5th gen fascination. I don't know what it is about the 4th gens but they just appeal to me. But after this car i wanna get the 2nd gen we have here out of the garage and back on the road. I grew up in that car and I think that's why I love them so much. Other people dream of ferrari's and lambo's, I dream of Maximas.

Looks like a good deal, but the transmission could be the downfall if it dies on you. If you're planning a manual swap, which I highly recommend, then you should go for it. Nice price! Remember to get a mechanic to take a look at it before you put down that cash.

Good trans or bad trans I'm planning on doing a 5 spd swap. But lately I was wondering how difficult it would be to try to mate a 6spd to the motor in this car? I would hope it's possible but somthing tells me it's not. If it's not who can argue with a 5spd.
