ok so first my alt. is 6 months old i can run every thing on my car. a/c on high(with the fans unpluged),lights on high,emergency flashers,wipers on high,my underglow kit(led) and evry thing is fine...but i can shut all that off and manualy turn on my rad. fan with a switch i put in the car and the car stuters like 3 seconds and shuts off. it also dose this when the fan turns on by its self because of heat or turning on the a/c(with the fans pluged)......i undid all my cabel work on the switch cut the wire and hookt it up directly to my car bat. when the car was on.. the same thing happend.......so any time the fans turn on my car just shuts off
even when hookt directly to the batery

any ideas?

 

Do the fans turn at all?
Have you tried powering them without all the other loads?
Do you get a big spark when you make the final connection to the fans?
If you bring up the RPMs before turning on the fans, does that work?
Is your idle set real low?
The fans draw their power almost directly from the battery, through a couple of relays and are protected by 30 amp fuses for each! Assuming they draw only 2/3 of that rating, you're still looking at about 40 amps with both fans running!
It's a more complex system than most people give it credit for. Ultimately, the fans are controlled by the ECU and it gooses the throttle or alters the mixture to the engine when it decides to turn a fan on.

 

yes they turn and yes i had them power on by themselvs by turnin on the A/C with all MY cabel work off(stock wiring) ..same thing happend

idle is at 834 when hot 979 when cold (i have a obd scan tool with live data) if i rev it stays on but sputering trying to shut off real bad


gona hook up one fan at a time see if its maybe the some short or something inside the one of the fans itself

 

Have you checked the GNDs for those relays? If that high current doesn't get drawn back via the GNDs that will cause a stall.

Those fan relays are grounded to E5 next to the fuse box.
