Today after i got out of work and driving my car for about 5 minutes my car felt like it popped when it tried to shift down into first gear. I pulled over and then while i tried to accelerate it was going but it felt like it was kinda forcing itself and having a hard time trying to go into the next gear. I went to Autozone and pulled the code P0797. After i parked and turned my car back on it was fine although my check engine light was still on. I cleared the code with my OBDII scanner and the check engine light has not turned on again and everything seems to be fine. What could have caused this? Is it possible my transmission could be going out?
