"whining" noice when around 70 miles

my 99 infiniti starts making "whining" noise when speed goes up to 68-75 m/h. It's a high pitch but not loud. the "whining" noise goes away when car is out of this speed range.
Engine is good, oil is full.

but has a broken CV axle on driver side --- I guess it's broken CV axle because it makes loud "bang" noise when making left turn.

Is the broken axle making the noise or something else? any input is appreciated!

change the freaken' axle meng! start by changing the axle first, then if noise presist then troubleshoot more.

How about you fix the problem that you see obviously ...like why would you ignore it and go any further into troubleshooting

Axle might be a reason, but axle is making noise since the first day it's installed(6 weeks ago), and the "whining" noise around 70m/h just showed up in 2 weeks.

The reason I haven't replace the CV axle is that, this CV axle was just installed as new 6 weeks ago. And the previous one start making noise 3 month ago. Although the GSP axle has life time warranty, I don't want to throw away $80 labor fee every month. So my strategy is to minimize the frequency of replacing GSP CV axle.

ps. stay away from GSP axle!

If it broke in 6 weeks make them do it again for free. You shouldnt have to eat the labor on that. What do you mean its "broken" BTW. How did it break, where is it broken? In my experience a broken axle, cv, or boot won't make a whining noise.

I don't know, maybe the mechanic will blame on the axle, not the installation procedure . Thanks, I may need to give a try.

"Broke" is just from judging the "bang" sound when making left turn. The boot is ok, I don't see any grease leak.

My car does the same, it sounds like a turbo is spooling or something but its constant. And my car doesn't have anything broken.

It does it more and at a lower speed when I had the ram air, but when I have the stock intake it only makes that noise at around 70

Nissan service dept will diagnose for a $50 or so fee. You would expect they would have the expertise to accurately determine the areas of failure.
In my case I believe they just took my 50 bucks without an accurate finding.
But it is an option if you are unable to make progress.
