Front and Rear stut tower braces.. Possibly willing to make and sell

I dont have much time.. I have a couple pm's abut my front and rear strut tower braces. I would make my back one look like the front one if I sold them, mine is built to accomadate how my sub goes through my arm rest hole. If there is any intrest please say so. the stell around the plates would be fresh new 1/8 inch thick steel, and the bar is 2x 1/2 inch flat steel. could go a little thicker on that or wider or what not depending on what you all think.. or maybe stainless steel.. or even c channel of the same size it would cut down on weight. I have a steel supplier and they only sell in 20 ft lengths min. so I i make one I can make 6. I,ll sandblast them ready for paint and the buyer can paint what ever color they choose, and I can grind them down smooth for nice lines.

tell me your thoughts.

price per after everything is figured in would be 175 for the front..

and the rear would probably be about 150.

sounds a little high maybe, but there solid not any joints in them. I cant promise speedy production because im only one man, and have a job and school under my belt. but I can sure do my best.

I also will do a group buy if I can get that many to want to buy, and I know a local lazer cutting service to make the mounting brackets very precise and all uniform, save me alot of time and you could get them alot faster.

Until you post pictures, I doubt that many people will show interest in purchasing one.

Not trying to bash you, just trying to help out. Good luck.

Not to hijack the thread but 99BlackMaxMS your car is just STUNNING! I had a KH3 '97 before I got the '99 and on it's best day it never looked anywhere near as good as yours. It's just flawless and I love the lights!

We may now go back to our regularly scheduled programming

Well I had 2 threads of pictures and a build of my own. but here is what mine looks like. I will of course make it more refined for the public and not leave the welds showing and what not just some finishing touches, and will be made out of fresh steel from a supplier not stuff laying around.

this was my own personal prototype its solid no joints, the lazer cut ones will be even nicer

this sux man i really like your work but im a walmart a-hole. i can't afford it. i won't ask you to make them for less as you deserve it for your time and costs. I unfortunately need the money for my wife and kid. i can get cheap ones on ebay which functionally will work the same way. i just can't justify it. same reason i have over wattage bulbs instead of projectors lol!

I hope it works out I can't wait to see how they come along and pictures of other members rides!

I understand where your coming from, gotta save money where you can. I will have to disagree a ebay one does the same though. no offense. this solid one has minute flex and it doesnt have those points of weakness or swivel like the ebay or stillen do. but Im glad you like my work. If i could get started with something I want to make other braces as well like a lower control arm brace made out of flat bar insted of tubing, so it limits the loss of the ground clearance you lose yet is really stong.

How about this, If I can get 10 people to start me off and buy my bar, I will then make a secondary bolt on triangulated package to go along with it if anyone wants one. Right now I need some start up money to get materials and lazer cutting services done.

Ill go out on a limb here and guestimate the tringulated package will be roughly 50 dollars. I havent made any yet so I have no prototype to judge off of. I have to figure out how to connect it to the fire wall in a easy way for the public.

This is my reason why I'm interested in Electroman's custom strut bar (high clearance).

Well thanks guys for the support.. Now can I get a list started who all are willing to buy. I can get this ball rolling. If I get one product made and making money, I can bring better rear strut tower braces, maybe x design to the seat belt mounts. etc...

So 10 people wanna help out.

1.) Neocry
2.)
3.)
4.)
5.)
6.)
7.)
8.)
9.)
10.)

I have pay pal, but we can get that going after I find some starters.

I really do believe in my work, my bar makes a noticable diffrence, it does have a higher clearance, sturdy, I hope if and when anyone gets theres they are completly happy because I put pride in my work. I have built many things and done alot of work for many people with no complaints yet. Its custom work so It is a little bit more made to please, insted of a cheap easy fast design to produce and sell. hopefully I can keep this up.

Question... Will this be for BOTH front and rear???

I wont hop in on this now (due to other financial commitments) but I will down the line if you include a front and rear... Matching set would be cool....

Well if there was someone located in or around lexington ky, I would be more then happy to meet up with them and show my honesty. I completly understand your concern. when people first started asking me if I wanted to build these I was very skeptal because I am afraid to put in the investment of money to make 10 of these then have people bail on me. You cant build any business on scamming people. Its not a good way to do things, yes you would make that initial money, But I would like to continue to make money off of these. and down the raod with some other products, like a matching rear strut tower brace, a tringulated ad on, and a lower control arm brace. Trust is a hard thing any more, I own and run a home and farm repair and remodling business and everything has to be on paper and a contract signed before I will ever start anything. I hope this helps, I know words only mean so much, it takes action to prove yourself.

Well after these initial 10 front strut tower braces, I am going to make a matching rear one, one designed alot better than the one I made for myself, and it doesnt stick out in the truck but lays against the seats for those of you with subs or what not like I have

Here is a picture of my current engine bay with the sh&ty ebay product. For a temporary fix, I replaced the cooked off hose with a longer one from Autozone.

That actually looks nice and beefy. Leaving the welds visible wouldnt be bad IMO, as long as they were clean welds (nice stack of dimes)

Front would be more beneficial. Just throwing that out there since your always commenting about only doing mods that are functional. Of course having one in the rear wont hurt anything thats for sure.

I know but during 3 wheeling activities the rear MUST go through some sort of flexing, nowhere near as much as the front of course. But then I have to weigh the benefits vs. added weight, but I doubt that's going to be a problem.

And yes functionality FTMFW!!!

That looks nice. Unfortunately, you will find that many/most of us on here are broke cheap asses that want nice things for our cars but can't part with the coin right now. For example, I'm a full time student with no job. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that you want to put in the time to make a better product than the crappy ebay junk. I just hope your proposal won't fall onto deaf ears...
