OBD2 Problems

Its a 95 SE production date 10/94


I am not getting any power to the obd2 connector
I have went over all the fuses there all good
Am I over looking something ?

Make sure the ECU set screw is not turned and 'locking' the computer data output. Instructions in Stickyz!

get a multimeter and start tracing the wires from the obd connector, to the ecu..

did you check the fuse under the hood for the OBD II - don't forget about that one. Here's the link on "how to" reset ECU (read codes)

http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecu.html - that link is actually to another site, and I know it's on the .ORG someplace ... but none the less, make sure the set screw is fully counter clockwise. Not sure if this will prevent the OBD II port from working or not to be honest, but it's worth a look. Also, check under the hood. probably the issue.

Yeah I have already pulled the codes and made the repairs
but I just wanted to get the obd2 connector to work like it should (if it suposed to)

I thought all 4th gens were OBD2, but I've heard rumors of pre 96 Maxi's being OBD1.

Have you had it hooked up to previous obd2 readers in the past?

I heard the same thing (from here)
And remember reading a thread on it that was in these forums a year or so ago
I just cant find that thread now
