What do the stock SE 15" rims weigh?
I was curious to how much lighter my 16" Kosei K1 are gonna be compared to the stockers. The K1 weigh right around 15 lbs. The last time I heard, the stock 4th gen SE 15s weighed in around 20lbs. Does that sound right?

My stock 15s weigh 42 lbs with the RSAs. My 17s weighed about 47 lbs. I can't get over how much quicker my car is and how much more responsive it is with the stock 15s on right now. Now if I could just find out how much the 15" rims weigh by themselves. I figure the RSAs weigh about 21-22 lbs each. SO the 15s probably weigh about 20lbs. My Team Locos weighed 24 lbs each and the tires weighed 23 lbs each!!!!! Yikes!!

If I recalled correctly
With lots of meat on the tire..it should weigh around 40
depending on what tire you choose...I went with the widest I can fit on the rim (did I say that right?)
but average is 40lb for the 15 in....
I am not very happy with that
In a quest of finding a 16 in combo that weighs less than 30
=D

Some of the tire manufacturers list the weight of their tires. 19 lbs is typical for a 205/65-15. Appropriate tires for 17" rims weigh about 8 lbs more than that. Not only would I like to know some of the stock wheel weights, I'd like to know what some of these aftermarket wheels weigh. Tire Rack has no weight specs for any of the wheels they list.

See, I keep telling people the main reason the 95-96s are the fastest 4th gens is because the 15's weigh a fair amount less than the 16's. Probably a good 4 lbs each. Wheel DO make a noticeable difference, right?

damn your rims are heavy......
My stock 15's with 195/60-15 yokos were 35lbs. The 14's from my se-r are 32lbs with tires. Too bad my rims are 4x114.3 otherwise it should make the car alittle faster. By comparison my moms 13" chrome wheels on her civic are 29lbs
. I was toying around the idea of putting them on the SE-R but then again 175/75-13s probably won't grip that well
with a SE-R.
