Exhaust leak on rear downpipe... is there a way to seal it?

I know, stupid question, but I have to. Is there a way to at least temporarily seal a blown gasket on a rear downpipe on the y without removal and reinstallation??

gasket on rear downpipe?? are you talking about where the header mates with the block? or where the rear manifold mates to the "y-pipe"??

it shouldnt be that hard to take the y-pipe off and replace the gasket. Get a buddy, and some drinks/food, and do it

Ok, other than what is listed below, what would I need in case I snap a bolt? I have a drill, do I just get special bits, spray the bolt down with penetrating oil and try to remove the nub?

1/2" ratchet
14mm deep impact socket
14mm shallow impact socket
12mm impact socket
22mm wrench
penetrating oil
1/2" swivel
1/2" impact extention

Sounds well timed in my case. I'll be one of the first to read it for sure.
