Another Nissan going to Heaven.

It was a Monday evening around 9ish, coming home on a dark road going about 40mph when a baby doe runs out in front of me and i make good contact with it.
I hit the brakes when i was already turning left with the road and then go into an uncontrollable slide down into a ditch under a barbwire fence.
Nobody wins this time, Doe is a goner and my insurance company sent an appraiser out to assess the damage.
The guy even before he took pictures said it was a complete loss. Let the pics speak for themselves......i have more pics of the car, but was only allowed 5 uploads.
If you live in the 81101 zipcode or anywhere close to me (Colorado Springs, Pueblo or Denver area) you can come and take whatever you want before the insurance co comes and picks her up, the PIAA's are already spoken for.
I just need to replace what is taken off of there......pickers welcome.

At least it still runs. I wouldn't call it a complete lose; now you have a race car.

Dump the insurance on it, replace the ****ty fender. Sell all cosmetic, buy some power adders.

IDK, for the frame damage, the trunk isn't lining up like it used to. Driving down the road i hear squeaking from the rear when i just go into a turn slightly...but hey if it's a project car why not keep it? Right? No fluids leaking.

Trust me bro, keep your car man. It has no real damage and its a cheap fix. Insurance will automatically say that its a total loss because they want to buy the car from you and take it to the Insurance Auto Auction (IAA) and sell to the highest bidder. I have been there before with my stepfather and they do make some good profits.

I am pretty sure they are giving you about ~$500 for your car right?? You know damn well your car is worth more than that. I have been in three collisions and insurance offered me $400 for mine...I told them hell no and fixed it back for $600 which was the entire front of my car.

Just remember this all of you, because of the age of our car, any fender bender you get yourself into will automatically be a total loss unless you have some extremely low mileage.

The collision probably just knocked the striker loose. I adjusted my trunk lid and didn't tighten it as much as I should have, and I ended up with the same squeak. Unless you hit that ditch hella hard, you probably didn't bend your frame, at least not noticeably.

Also, glad you're OK. Deer collisions can be scary as hell, even with a little baby one. Kinda tends to make you paranoid about how something can just run out in front of you at any second while you're driving.

Unibody is probably messed up with that kind of damage, it would not make a good track car given how cheap shells are now.

I know sometimes having insurance is damn scam, my PIAA foglights cost more than $500!! I'm not sure what they are gonna give me for the Max, but i think i will buy it back from them and make her a project car. Hell i have my neighbors who want to buy from me for $1500.

I hit the ditch pretty hard, down then the front end hit the other embankment, then back up. I looked at the underside of the car and it has all kinds of scratches underneath. i'm pretty sure there's some kind of frame damage done somewhere. Totally makes me paranoid now, escpecially i drive the same road home, not to mention i live on the golf course and there's always wildlife here....
