My car is stalling 1 to two times within the 1st 10 mins of driving it. I think it must be something with the fuel injection system because the RPMS just drop out and it stalls up.

Restarting it is possible but i have to crank for about 10-20 seconds and eventually it starts up again.

Any ideas?

hey mine was doing the same thing so i replaced both of my cam shaft sensors and its working fine again

 

Had the same issue.. your resoutions could vary..
for me it was MAF sensor. Did not get the check engine light but my MAF was bad.. try to find one in junkyard or borrow one from a friendfor couple of hours for testing .. used run anywere from 25$ and up. It's very easy under 5-10 minutes to do the swap

 

Had the same problem a couple months ago too. I changed out my ECTS, cleaned the MAF and the throttle body. Hasn't happened since. But like said, it could be one of many things

 

Me thinks it's your:

1) Dirty MAF sensor

or

2) Fuel Pressure Regulator

 

Wow, lets go do and buy **** that we dont need to fix a problem he doesnt have. Clean your IACV and MAF. If that doesnt fix anything THAN you can start further diagnosis.

yo i had the same thing happen to me and it turned out to be the coolant temp switch .it showed the needle at normal operating temp but the switch wasnt reading it right sooo the car would stall. i had the same thoughts your having, i changed that and it was all fine try it its only 26 bucks from the parts store.

also.. just unplug the maf if you feel it could be an issue.

 

Taking the car into the shop tomorrow for an oil change. I went to autozone yesterday - they pulled my codes - and they told me i had a bad engine coolant sensor. I'm not sure I have the know how to change it myself so I may have the gas station do it when i get my oil change. Is it an easy job?

 

very easy 19mm wrench pull the wire connector loose when engine is cold loosen the nut and remove install in reverse order in the pic the part is circled in green

forgot to mention clear ecu after install

 

haha im reading through this and this happened to me a while ago i ended up getting a new temp sensor and now she runs great.. and by the wat make sure u take the radiator cap off or ur gonna get some hot antifreeze on you.

 

he should be doing this job when the engine is completely cold
