I know this has been asked to death, but I havent been on here awhile...so....
Whats everyone reccomend for a good performance/all season tire? The winters can get nasty and the summers pretty hot here in Nebraska, so I need somethin that will perform well in all conditions. I was thinking about some BFG Comp TA VR4s or Toyo Proxes (like the ones Ive got now). Im looking to spend about $100/tire. I also have the '99 SE 16" rims, so how wide could/should I go? 225? Or stick with 215?

I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE-730's on my RX-7 and I love them. Not sure about the snow issue as we don't get much of it here in GA, but they work great in the dry and in the rain.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE950's and I love them. Amazing wet and dry grip, and they hold their own in the snow. I was also considering the Yokohama AVS db's, but heard they werent as good in the snow, though they get high ratings for dry and wet traction.

Have you tried www.tirerack.com ? You can shop for lots of different selling points there (price, performance, etc). They also have customer opinions and ratings for many tires, as well as some actual road tests by the Tirerack. If nothing else, it makes for very interesting reading.

Bman...been there many times. I just wanted to get your guys' opinions as well. I had Pirelli P4000s on my old rims, I liked them alright, even though they were about 90% gone when I bought my car.

Have to cast my vote for the Bridgestone Potenza RE950's.
Been on for a couple months and have been great!
Luckily no snow yet but they get a great rating at Tire Rack and the guy at the store where I bought the has them on his 91 SE.
He just wished he had a 92 SE 5 speed like me!
