Tire/TPMS Question

I am getting the Continental Extreme Contact DWS Tires installed in the next week at Town Fair Tires in CT and was wondering about the TPMS sensors. Will the shop just put back the stock sensors? What about the matching stems?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

If they're changing just the tires there's no need to touch the sensors since they are attached to the rim and not the tire.

Thanks Car Addict. Any idea about the stems? I would like to keep the matching silver ones.

The tire places will try to talk you into a $15/tire "service kit" for the TPMS. tell them to stuff it.

As long as they don't physically damage the TPMS while removing the old tires, they shouldn't have to touch them at all. So you'll keep your existing valve stems and etc.
