How do I remove my fuel injectors and fuel rails?
I have the Haynes guide, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It tells me to loosen the rail (debolt) and use a rocking motion to release the rails and injectors. I'm assuming that that means I will pull them out in one piece, but something feels wrong. Maybe I'm just being too light on it out of fear? Help if you can.
yeah, you are being too light IMO.
The Haynes guys have a brand new engine to strip apart when making the book... yours -unfortunately- has way more miles on it. It takes a lot of force to pull those injectors.
If anything, the rail will separate from the injectors when you pull up with the rocking motion. Then you'll be able to pull up on the injectors themselves. You'll probably get a few stubborn ones... don't quit.. they will come out eventually.
When putting it all back together you will need all new o-rings all around, top and bottom, with some lube to make it easy. proper cleaning of the injector seats on the engine will be a must for easy re-installation also.
hope this helps

The rail won't necessarily separate from the injectors. Just continue to pull up on the entire rail rocking in forward (towards firewall) and backwards (towards front bumper) and it will come out.
Did you de-pressurize the fuel system prior to doing this? If not, you can't take off the injectors without fuel spraying everywhere.
When you do re-install, make sure you use a lube with NO SILICON. The silicon can clog the injectors. The FSM recommends using a light oil, like mineral, or even engine oil will work.
