Well I just got done ordering a couple of items from custommaxima which should bring a very nice touch to my max. This is what UPS should be delivering to me within a few days:

- Trenz Billet Grille
- Trenz Billet Valance
- Red/Clear Taillights
- KYB AGX Struts (the most important of them all!)

So the grille/valance and the clear tails will definitely make my max look much hotter , and the AGX struts will hopefully take care of all or most of my complaints about the maxima's not-so-good suspension. I was gonna get H&R springs but I am keeping my stock SE springs for now to see how they are with the AGX's.

One question, is pep-boys a good place to get the shocks installed from? I got a couple of things done from them before and their service doesn't seem so bad.

Now I just hope that the stuff gets to me asap so I can make some good use of it.

 

Congrats on your parts, I've ordered from custommaxima before and everything got to me on time, well accept for the short-throw shifter. Well, I was pretty satisfied with the service. Have fun with the parts.

 

Greg is good with shipping time. I got my stuff usually after 2 days after I order.

I think that's only for the diamond-cut clears because no one has them in stock. I got my Addco RSB from him a little while ago too and it was at my door within 3-4 days.

Only three weeks? Your about a month behind me and I am waiting too. Give him time they are backordered but he will come through. My other stuff got to me in like a 3 days when I ordered.

I have ordered from Greg a few times. I want the rear window spoiler, but just don't have the $$$ yet. I have to buy tires for my new 17's.

 

Yeah I was thinking about getting the rear window spoiler too, but I've only seen pic of like 1 car which has it on. He doesn't have any pics on his site too, so until I see some clear pics of how it looks I don't know if I'm gonna be getting it.

 

yea greg is a great person when it comes to shipping. Got everything on time when ever i ordered. I am interested in the rear spoiler too but need to see some pics before i can make a decision worth $200

 

Pep Boys won't install suspention parts not purchased from them. Best bet is to find a mechanic that you trust.

Yup your grilles, taillights, and struts are on their way to you now. As of right now I have about 95% of the items on my site in stock ready to ship. Certain items like the Diamond cut bumeper lights are on their way to me now but both them combined is holding over 400 backorders. Every item i have is stock I ship out the day after you place your order.

 

everyone that suspects that Greg at Custommaxima.com is one of those shady online dealers, stop thinking that. I mean i could understand say if he took his money and ran and if you could prove that. But, in this situation, it's not the case. Greg is trying to provide, but his suppliers and sometimes even companies aren't being cooperative. Many companies don't treat maximas and maxima owners for that fact very respectfully(i.e. call up AEM, a very respectible company, and ask when the CAI for the fourth gen maxima is coming out). Many companies don't consider the maxima a high priority. Hondas are. If you wanna get angry, get angry at the companies not greg.

 

Thanks Hogan. You know exactly how it is, companies give us a hard time and all we are doing is trying to get the Maxima parts. Oh well I guess you can't everyone happy.

A month+3wks? Mine have been on order since September! I pray everyday I'll get them before xmas (PLEASE SANTA!!)--sigh... I hate the orange on the front of my car!

But I got my red/clear tails long ago and I love them! Thanks Greg!

 

That's why I just went with the regular clear corners because I didn't wanna wait for the diamond cuts (orange corners were really embarassing ). And in my opinion, the regular clears look hot too, if any place ever has the diamond cuts in stock then I'll get 'em, but for now I'm happy with what I got.

I am going to make another call to Japan tonight to get a update on the diamond cut clears. I am going to increase my order to 800 sets so this backorder does not happen again.


Oh yeah, Apexi told me that they just got about 5 exhausts in stock, they will go to 5 of the 9 backorders I have for the Apexi. Hopefully one of them is yours!!

 

I didn't realize there are regular clear corners. Got any pictures? I suppose the diamond cut would go better with my diamond cut red/clear tails though and I've waited this long so what the hell.

Yeah they have 'regular' clear corners also and they don't look bad at all, look really good in my opinion. My friend has my digi cam so I can't take any pics right now but probably by tonight I'll post some. I'm sure a lot of these other guys have pics also if you want to see.

 

For a comparison look on Ebay. Everyone sells the regulars. Then look at custom maxima for the diamonds. You will tell right away.

I got my diamond clears off ebay cuz greg didnt have them and it was $8 cheaper and that included shipping. They will be here tomorrow!

 

The same for me as well. Ordered a set of clears on December 5 and I have yet to see them. Looks like my order went through since nothing came back saying that their was a problem so maybe he is just out of clears at the moment. Hopefully will get them soon.

Just another kudos for Greg, I ordered a Greddy exhaust for my I-30 a week before Thanksgiving. Originally 2 weeks for delivery. After 3 weeks I emailed Greg and he emailed me back almost immediatly and gave me his phone number to give me a status. Apparently Greddy is backlogged until late January But happily I received the exhaust system yesterday . Thanks Greg.

 

I ordered diamond cut clears from custommaxima.com probably just about 3 months ago now. I completely understand Gregs position and don't doubt his credibility at all. I haven't seen diamond cut clears anywhere else in stock either at the time I ordered, so I stayed with my order not thinking it would take that long, as Greg probably didn't think either.. It is great to hear they are on the way. I have been waiting what seemed like a lifetime and have been laughed at by other people for having amber corners and hub caps it really hurt me... now i have rims waiting for tires and all i need is the clear corners now and I'm set for now.

 

Where is Custommaxima located? I am thinking if we are close enough, can we pick them up?

I just got off the phone with my contact for the Diamond Cut Clear corners, they are about to leave Customs and come to me. Hopefully within a week or so I will have them.

They also told me that they have been sitting in a warehouse at customs for the past 4 weeks!! Because of the Sept. 11 stuff now customs has to hold everything for at least 3 weeks.
