Where to buy new flywheel

Anyone know where I can buy a new oem quality flywheel? I dont want a performance one with inserts. Ive checked the auto part stores without any luck. And being the holiday weekend, nissan was closed. Thanks for the help.

What's wrong with your current one?

Whats wrong w/ going to a junkyard and pullin one?

Courtesy has it for $204.08 + Shipping (5th gen flywheel, same thing).

What's wrong w/ the aftermarket flywheels with removable friction area?

Basically what I'm getting at is... Why would one need to purchase a a new flywheel... Machine Shops can resurface them for you for the fraction of a cost of buying a new one.

well i dont know if this wheel has been resurfaced before. I did a de-k swap and dont remember if I used a flywheel that had already been resurfaced or not so I didnt want to take the chance on resurfacing again and taking off too much material.

I dont want an aftermarket one with the removeable friction disk because I dont think that will last as long as a new flywheel. I dont want to have to go in and change my friction disk before I need a new clutch. I just bought a new clutch and when I put it in with the new flywheel, I plan on getting 150k or more before having to do clutch/flywheel work again.

I dont want used because I would have to pay for a used one, and then to have it resurfaced. If im paying for that, I would rather pay the extra for a new one and not have to worry about any problems.

I still don't think a new flywheel is in order, but since money does not seem to be your primary concern in this case, go ahead and go with the OEM one from Dave B. or Courtesy.

Also I have not heard of a friction plate wearing out before a clutch wears out (I don't have experience on Maximas per say, but I highly doubt it's any different), it's actually the opposite.

money is a concern, but so is reliability of the part. I would rather spend a little more now than have to go and take my tranny off again in a year or 2.

From what I have seen, the aftermarket flywheels with friction discs are much more expensive than an oem replacement for $200 anyway...assuming that the oem replacement comes with the timing gear and ring.

There is so much meat on a stock flywheel, you can usually grind it a couple times with plenty of material to spare. Also, resurfacing with stones>resurfacing with bits.
