Installation of Stillen RSB and bolt torque specs

Hey everyone,

I've pretty much exhausted all my resources in trying to find the correct torque specs for installing my new Stillen rear sway bar. Has anyone installed theirs themselves and if so, what are the ft. lbs. recommended for the end link bushings and the D-clamps holding it together?

Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to put that sucker in this weekend.

Well turns out I was able to get the torque specs from Stillen. Gotta say their customer service has been excellent.

Here are the specs for anyone else in the future:

Sway Bar Ends: 41 ft/lbs
Brackets: 37 ft/lbs

Hope that this RSB reduces the amount of body roll as advertised!

Did you use polyurethane bushings? If so what kind/size did you get and where did you get them? Stillen wasn't able to help me with finding these.

Just going to use the stock bushings. Actually glad that Stillen doesn't supply polyurethane replacement bushings as these can transmit more noise and vibrations into the cabin. I just wanted to get rid of some body roll in hard corners but be able to keep the quiet cabin.

Oh really? Everywhere I read said to use the polyurethane bushings but never heard why. I definitely don't want more noise or vibration in the cabin...I just want to kill some of the body roll like you. Any idea why people said to upgrade the bushings?

Don't get me wrong, poly bushings do help tighten up the handling a hair more and give you a bit more road feel. Typical downside is that you'll get unwanted noise in the cabin. This is why I ended up choosing the Stillen RSB. Solid core, great customer service and get to use the stock bushings. Yeah, a bit pricier than Racingline and non-adjustable, but at least I'll take delivery in less than a week unlike a lot of folks who ordered back in November and haven't received it yet

Good info to know. Will probably apply some grease to the bushings when I install it this weekend. Thanks for the heads up!

Rubber bushings will deflect under load and squish. They will also where down over time. The polyurethane will not deflect as much and will maintain it's original shape alot longer than the rubber will.

Just got to find some polyurethane bushings for the Stillen sway bar. I wanted to go with Racingline's but you have been out of stock for quite a while and I heard some people on this forum ordered several months ago and still haven't received theirs...
