The car already had tints on it when I bought it but they arent as dark as I would like them. I'm looking at having the tint removed and then I'll go 20% all around but I'm worried about the rear window as the defrost strips would likely be damaged when removing the tint plus I think the power rear shade is a nice option

I'm somewhat surprised you would need the power sunshade in Toronto. I really do need it here south of Hotlanta Georgia. I raise it around the first day of spring, and lower it around the first day of fall. It helps protect my parcel shelf, the top part of my rear seats, and the back of the necks of my three lovely granddaughters from the very brutal heat of the south Georgia sun. I appreciate having it.

I don't know what would be involved in adding this option to a Maxima that didn't have it. The switch is at the front end of the console, between the driver and passenger seat heating/cooling switches.

@lightonthehill - I guess its more of a novelty but my last car (BMW 745Li) had it and I always kept the sunshade up. Like I said I wish the tint was darker and the sunshade would def help darken the appearance.

@MaxLoverAz - thanks for the post, that looks factory I may try to contact them if I get no help from my local dealership
