I'm telling you man, you can have it buffed out for a few bucks. There's no stress fractures on it, a shop could get it to look brand new for $10. Part number is 24813-93E00, but it's going to cost you about $40 more..

Sorry for trying to save you money after knowing what you've already shelled out on the dash. Now that you bring it up, you've asked for a lot more than a part number judging from the 30 or so PM's you've sent me in the past month and a half, seeking my expertise on a variety of things that I had to learn for myself. I was surprised you didn't PM me directly for the part number. I've been nothing but helpful to you. That extra $40 could go in your gas tank, but if you want to spend it on a new one that will get scratched up just as easily, go right ahead

Come on Hectic you know the org moto: Why listen to someone with experience when you can learn the hard way?

Whats with kids these days? Back when I was new I offered to PAY Kaleb (a super smart guy who worked at courtesy nissan, for those of you who dont remember him) to give me a list of parts to turbo my maxima. I still spent another couple years running into every possible problem before I finally had enough custom parts to make it work.

God when did I become an old man? LOL

Remember when Kaleb was making/selling mesh grilles from his Kalebonline.com website?

I was like 16. I wanted a mesh grille from him so bad, and I didn't even have an e-mail account yet and we had just gotten the interwebz at our house. I hadn't joined the .org yet but had been browsing for a few months. I used my dad's e-mail address to send Kaleb an e-mail asking him about the grilles.

YES! Back when the mesh grill was still cool. He had some other weird websites too like that "pancake" something. That site was one of the first blogs I ever saw too. Kaleb was so smart and working for Nissan he had some great insight. He convinced me to try the first VE-5 trans to VG engine swap back when everyone else was saying it couldnt be done. I was the very first on here to successfully do it, but only because Kaleb assured me it would work. We have him to thank for pioneering such a common mod these days, but humble as he was he never took credit for it.
Kaleb also came up with the idea and created the courtesyparts.com site with all the amazing pictures and diagrams. Last I talked to him, about 6 years ago he had just quit nissan to take a higher paying job at some IT company. He was also working on building a turbo maxima, but he just disappeared after he left nissan.

Yeah I remember him doing the courtesyparts.com site

I didn't realize you were the first to do the VE tranny to VG block. I remember Kaleb and Matt converting his GXE to 5 speed though and it being uber top secret at the time

Where's that picture of Kaleb and the Fobarts jumping into the pool when you need it
