Noise from brake or belt

I Replaced the front brake pad yesterday and noticed the AC belt (one goes on the crank pulley) had cracks, so I replaced that too. Both brake pad and belt are OEM nissan part that I bought a while ago. The replacement went smoothly. Today, when I was driving and making a turn, I heard a loud rubber noise, kind of like tire slipping noise but louder. Not sure where it came from. I'd guess was the belt too loose, but wasn't the loose belt supposed to squeak than big loud noise? and also why it was happening when turn? Could it be the brake pad. That doesn't make sense either, I was very careful and everything was torque to the right spec? It's dark out, I won't be able to work on it until next weekend, but if you can provide any idea, I'd appreciate it.

maybe you turned to sharply and the tire rubbed on the splash shield that covers the drive belts, or maybe your drive belts shield came loose and now its flapping, check that out

As said, it's possibly the splash shield if you didn't properly secure it, but they tend to make more of a grinding sound as the tire wears away the plastic.

Did it happen continuously through the turn, or just for a second or two? Does it do it every time you turn, or just that one time? Have you checked the PS belt? They usually go bad around the same age.

I will double check the splash shield, though I am pretty sure that I secured it well.

It didn't happen continuesly through the turn (probably just two seconds), and did not happen on all the turns either. I did not replace the PS belt as it seemed to be in good shape visually.
