3.5 Acura get's an early Christmas present...........

I was at a redlight when i saw some car headlight's rush up behind me i looked up and was puzzled at why someone should approach a red light at that speed. The car[an Acura 3.5RL] comes to a grinding halt in the next lane and ahead of the white line at the intersection.

The driver does not acknowledge me-not that he could- his car is a full car length ahead.Anyway i correctly assume that he is going to make a right turn at the next light and to make matter's worse he has the intention of using my right lane to get there.

I ready my stock 190 horsies and watch the light's turn green.Just then and i see the rear of the 3.5 dip downward which could only explain one thing,he was flooring his car. With my fear's confirmed, i take off right behind him with the VQ and the front tire's screaming angrily at the impunity of the Acura.

I look to my left at the driver thru his rear window and i see him glance back and wonder in amazement why the 3.5RL was not ahead as the owner intended.Second gear is slid in with the anticipation of deflowering 72 virgin's and there is some commotion up front as the tire's protest again louldly courtesy of the screaming VQ. By this time, the 3.5RL has the pleasure of being shown first hand why the VQ has been named best V6 by ward's auto mag six time's.For those who have not guessed correctly by now,i am now well ahead of the Acura.

I then slide in third gear and confirm that i am ahead of him-his car's outline is embedded in my rear view mirror-and proceed to shut down at around 70mph.But wait how does he respond to my kind hospitality, he get's right behind me and then swerve's to the left to pass me.

My throat dries with anticipation as i contemplate shoving it back in third and letting him admire my "unshaven rear" one more time but i hear a voice far away saying "let him be,let him be ohh master" correct me if am wrong ivolley.

A second later the Acura rip's past me and slam's on his brakes and barely make's the corner.I then ponder over what i had just done 70 in a 45 zone and guess what, i take my right hand off the stick and pat myself on the back for a job well done.

Moderators and org member's it's been a long year may you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2002.

Too bad that RL couldn't enjoy the dulcet, harmonious melodies bellowing from our VQs. Oh how Stephen King would be jealous!

I cannot stand writing three hundred pages worth of a novel.

Dude the only writing i would be willing to do is for a car magazine or such and on a side note. if this cracked you up,then i suggest that you grab a brit car mag. You won't read anything else afterwords.

Not to spoil the fun here, but I try to avoid races like that. It's one thing to do the straight line race, but it's another to try to cut off a lane for someone who wants to change lanes. You never know how unobservant other drivers are, and they might change lanes without looking behind their shoulder. If you want to race, then fine...nothing wrong with that, but when you purposely drive aggresively to spite another driver, then that's getting dangerous.

We were at a redlight how was i supposed to know he wanted to make a right turn up ahead?

I am yet to hear of lane cutting while stopped at a redlight .

Aggresive driving!Let's see Acura rushes towards redlight and oversteps white line at intersenction,Said car cut's me off in the end even though i have right of way.Did i mention he did not use his indicator's.

All he had to do was pull up behind me and follow me to the light-not race me to it.Talk about impatience.
