VG - no
VE - yes
ME w/ VG - yes

I think my owners manual for the VG-->

recommends 89 and higher, while the VE recommends 91 and higher.

I just use Amoco Ultimate and don't worry about it.

Only 97k away from my goal of 200k miles.

Of course, if I was driving as much as you do, this would happen at the end of next year....

You'll be happy to know that my owners manual suggests 91+ RON or at least an AKI of 87. So the 2nd gens are supposed to run 91 octane or better.

Yeah...I work at amoco, and I USUSLLY buy the ultimate, but it all depends on whether or not i want to pay $2.10 a gallon for it instead of $1.69 for regular (non-ehanol) of course.
