Why are my tires skipping? HELP!

I don't remember when they started doing this, but my front tires skip really bad in first gear under full throttle. And when they do this, the whole car shakes like it's falling apart. I thought getting wider and newer tires will help, but it didn't. I hope you know what I mean by the tires skipping...the tires don't spin, but they get traction and lose traction and repeat very quickly. It only happens in 1st gear and a soon as I shift to 2nd it's fine.
A friend of my told me that I have too much torque, but I doubt it becasue I don't have forced induction. My modes are OSCAI, Y + B pipes, UDP, and Cat, a very common setup.
Could this be because they didn't fix my car right after the accident? I hit a curb really bad two years ago and they had to replace the right driveshaft, the control arm, maybe also the struct assembly and other related stuffs. I have my tire pressure set at 36psi, is that too much? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Wheel hop...with the mods you have it's pretty normal to have this happen with a hard launch.

Thanks...but how do you deal with them? I see you have similar mods... It happens to me pretty often.

The new, wider tires will actcually make things worse. Because the tires will grip much, much better than stock, they will hop. Stock wheels don't grip that much and just spin.

Deal with it? I just accept it at the track, and ease the car through first if I don't want it to skip. Engine mounts from Cattman claim they greatly reduce wheel hop, as would the Quaife differental.

Good luck!

i dont know if it has anything to do with the wheel hop but 36 psi is probably a little high. 33 in the front and 29 in the rear is what is recommended i think.

Yeah, lower tire pressure will help.
