I want a LOUD Muffler - What are some good ones for our cars?
just unbolt the muffler... no tip, no can, no extra piping... but this thread is still FAIL city.

Everyone that says the Ebay muffler sounds like sh*t probably hasnt heard one recently.

probably the best answer so far. What about the Megan exhaust that that one kid got a LONG time ago. He posted a video asking our opinions and it sounded all raspy and terrible. So everyone told him it sounded bad and he never signed on again. Get THAT exhaust

Hope you aren't tryna turn the max into a Rice Burner! On the two maximas I've owned I've cut the stock muffler off and it has a nice deep tone sounds decent and no difference on gas milege.
if u want real loud do open header cut the entire exhaust off it sounds sick is hell!! other then that out of allllll the exhaust systems ive heard on a Maxima sounds like trash sorry guys but even you people with full exhaust and headers sounds like CRAP. but I'm a Muscle car guy and the Sound of a V8 Cammin through flowmasters is my taste.

With the stock cat-back and stock pre-cats it's hard to accomplish something LOUD like what I have now, but something cheap and that sounds and looks up to the part?
Easy....
Cut off your muffler, then weld a pipe with an exhaust tip on the end of it.
With the stock Pre-cats, Cat, B-Pipe it will sadly sound better than a lot of more modded maximas out there (not get the same performance, but I'm talking purely sound).
Then again, I have only come to expect this from Maxima.org....

i kow they arent, i have one too. but your video is of a more full exhaust that what the OP is asking for so that can't back up the statement that the muffler alone doesnt sound like ****, because i've never heard a stock exhaust with a ebay muffler.

I would do it with a .22 pistol. No need to remove the exhaust from the car, just start shooting. I'm sure everything will go more smoothly if you have a couple beers first. Not that I am advocating underage drinking. If you are under 21, just take a bong rip of salvia first.
