Broke into my car AGAIN

My car got broken into AGAIN last night!!!!! Another window broken. Front drivers side window. And no one on the block seems to have heard my ALARM... I wasnt near the car so there was no way for me to hear it. This time they tried to steal my radio. But its not a honda so theres no just prying it out, Since its fastened to the dash. So in their effort they broke my radio trim. Words cant express how pissed i am right now!!!! I dont even know what to do to protect my car at this point. Its like what are they going to try and take next???

This is a perfect example of why alarm systems really do nothing to protect your vehicle or it's contents.

The best way to secure your vehicle's contents is to remove them from thieves site. Nothing to see = no reason to break in.

Damn man, fukin' a$$holes ALWAYS gotta try and take somebody elses stuff.
It gets to a point where it just gets stupid.

My little sister actually saw my upstairs neighbor from the window yesterday scoping my ride at 11 PM.
I was at my buddies house so I couldn't confront him.
She said he was staring into my car for a good minute.

Well, either way I'm ready for that *** to try something

The crazy thing is where my girl live is a nice area... Nothing ever happens around there.. Now all of a sudden twice in a month and a half.
A two way alarm wouldn't have benefited me in this case because when it happened we weren't even home.. We left the house for about and hour and this happened..
Then I go to the glass place this morning and there were 3 other 4th gens that were broken into last night.. From different areas though.

you need a stake out. Hide somewhere, leave your windows down, have a shotgun within reach.....

actually some two-way alarms you can set to notify you on your cell phone as well and they will take advantage of cell towers to do so so you have a good distance that can be between you and your car thats what i have on mine and i was 30 miles away and got a notice on my droid that someone had messed with my car.

+1, it may not prevent the car from being stolen, but you will be notified if your alarm is going off, hopefully giving you enough time to get out there and kick someones ***.

damn tho OP, i remember your other thread about your car being broken into. where in jersey do u live?

I agree and disagree. He has the wrong kind of alarm. A good two-way, or even better, an alarm that calls your phone no matter what, is a viable option.

Agree 100%. Time to make yourself a fake face. See here.

damn that sucks. I remember how pissed I was when my maxi was broken into. First they mutilated the lock and scratched the **** outta the door trying to jimmy it. Then they attempted to pry the door open, which left marks and deformations in the door. Finally, when all else failed, they just broke my window.

Sorry for the essay, but I ended up with a f*cked up door, no window and the climate control cost me $100 at the junk yard...

/Rant

Hope they catch that thief

This has always been my point also. I left everything OEM and aint leaving anything for them to grab or even put tints. I have nothing to hide and I haven't had this misfortune. Seems like they are determined though since its the second time. The third time, they should not make it...for the next sunrise that is.

Yes a quality alarm can make the difference. Many times the flashing light (non-factory) will deter them, they usually hit factory units since in essence there is no shock sensor. It is frustrating to have your car broken into but even with concealed weapon permit you can't just shoot them, you'll go to jail, a pellet gun you can probably wound them without killing them and getting sued by some liberal. Remove the face of the radio or get one that you can, anything of value thieves see they will try to steal.

I cut the front off my stock radio and would remove my pioneer's front when I parked the car and put the cut off stock front in its place. I hot glued all the buttons on it and used velcro tape. This worked for 2 years in crackhead filled north Philadelphia.

So.... Either buy an OEM broken HU for peanuts, or stop by your local stereo shop and explain what your doing. I did this years ago for my camaro because I didn't want to destroy my perfectly good OEM deck, and they literally gave me 5 old POS headunits out of their stack of many. Once home, I determined which HU would be best, dissected it, and made my fake face.
