routine Maintenance .Thermostat housing sealant?

I will be changing out my Antifreeze , all coolant hoses, and my thermostat tomorrow morning, and in reading the FSM it does not mention Any type of sealant on the gasket for the thermostat housing . does anyone have a thought either way on this idea?. I have the Orange thermotex? stuff I used on the valve covers handy. thanks.

as far as i know you don't need any type of sealant on the thermostat gasket, most gaskets are installed dry these days

No liquid gasket required. Just buy the gasket or reuse existing one.
