Has anybody used a shift kit from a company called transgo? They are located in California. I heard they were pretty good. They have a basic web page at transgo.com. I can get the shift kits for the valve body for abiout $40 or less. Let me know if you heard of them.

SteveChicagoSC is running one. He runs 13.64@100.98 down the 1/4 with s/c, trans-go shift kit, torque converter, and bolt-ons I believe. I thought they were closer to $100 + installation. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to install?

My dad has a transmission shop so I got the kit at cost. We have about 10 extra valve bodies laying around the shop. I got it all the way apart right now and I am cleaning it. I will probably have it finished and installed in a few days. Do you know how this kit compares to some of these expensive kits like the JWt that runs $400+. This is definately the most easy mod to do but it doesnt look to difficult. Ill put the directions on my web page in the next week or so. If anyonhe wants me to get them a kit let me know, we can work something out maybe.

called levelten....they told me that there is a diff between installing a shift kit and recalibration of the VB...wonder if its all BS or for real? anyways, I understand that level10 not only installs a shift kit onto the VB you send them, but also increases the line pressure / does something to the VB where WOT, the tranny shifts hard.

think Don in texas does the same thing?!

hum, someone correct me here...might be wrong..?! no experience with transgo shift kits...so can't say anything.

still trying to find a tranny place that would want to touch my jap tranny...so far no luck! =( and don can't do one time core swap...otherwise I'd drive up to say chicago to a tranny place to get things done!
