ME vs TL

Today at work there was this new guy working in the cubicle beside me.So he intruduced himself and we started talking. It ends up that he owns an acura tl.(by the way he's a very nice guy.Not alot of tl owners are nice). So we started talking about our cars and what i have that he doesn't and what he has that i don't.So i told him that after work we would check out eachothers cars. When our day was done.We went outside he brought his car beside mine and we started admiring our car.I checked out his interior and i found out that(ohh i am going to get flamed for this)his interior is made with better materials than mine)maybe the 2002's max are made with better quality materials anyways.I found are wheels and tires way better than his.Now i told him how about a little race just too see who's more performance orientated.my 2000 maxima(auto) or his 2000 TL.He says to me why not so we go to this street which is pretty wide and empty cause its' a commercial area. The first time we race he was using his SS i was manual shifting 1 2 3 he had me by 1 to 1 1/2 car lenth. In 3rd gear i started to catch up a bit but not enought to pass him or even equalized him.We went up to about a 120 km/h(not sure how much in miles). Now the second time he was manualy shifting 1 2 3 instead of his SS.This time he had a better start but then it was about the as in ss.Then we stoped and discused a little more about our cars.We then got back in our cars and headed home. Before taking our own ways we were both going about 50 km/h and we both floored it at the same time.I was surprised cause my max was slightly ahead.Could this be cause by his car being heavier than mine.Anyways the guy was very nice and i had a very good experince with him.I really enjoyed him complimenting my car.(by the way i did the same)

The better question would be why doesn't Nissan offer a 5-sp auto like the 2000+ TLs.

The better question would be why doesn't Nissan offer just a manual transmission like the McLaren F1.

That question can never be answered!

Because they are too expensive to justify for all the family types that the Maxima is targeted to.

I usually find that I have to play catch-up with TL's racing them from the start. Did he have any engine mods? Because I haven't lost to a TL yet...
From a roll, the Maxima really has some spunk.
