Trying to track down my old 96 Dark Green GXE

Hello everyone...more or less out of curiosity I'm trying to track down my old 4th gen. It was a 1996 dark green GXE. I sold it around 2004-2005 I think (can't find my old paperwork). I did find an old insurance card with my vin on it (JN1CA21D9TT747299) but that's about all of the information ove got on it.

I sold it in Florence, SC and from there I've got no idea where it went. I really miss that car, even though I've got a 2000 SE now (had a Jeep Cherokee in between these).

So...where do I need to start?

Carfax will tell you where it was last sold. After that it's hard to say, you could possibly contact the state DMV where the car was last sold, but I don't know if they would give you any information or not.

Thanks for the tips. I bought the CarFax but I can't tell much, other than it has not been totaled. It was last sold in 2009 to someone in a town not too far from me so I guess it is still in the area.

I'd love to see it around sometime. If really like to talk to the owner as I do have some information about the car that I know would be interesting to them.

Anyways, if anyone else has any other tips please do share them.

Thanks for all of your replies.

Ha, no not quite.

I'm actually interested in the story behind it, considering that I sold it a few years ago with N odometer problem and close to 200k miles on it, and now it's listed with no odometer issues and 156,000 miles. Hmm...

I think I know what happened and I can pinpoint it to the dealer here that I sold it too, but I am still curious. Plus, I'd love tl just see it. I love that dark green color on the 4th gens...those were some great looking cars.

Anyways, thanks for entertaining my thoughts. Y'all have a great night!
