Speakers under warranty?

Does anybody know if the speakers and sound-system are under the 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty?

Or is that considered some sort of accessory....I mean, they came with the car.

I havent blown them, nor do I want to try to... I'm just curious. I had a friends stock Bose amp overheat and die.

You could always call your local dealer's service dept. and ask them if you want some peace of mind. I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you yay or nay if it's covered under the 3/36K warranty.

Should be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I had a torn speaker on my 03 galant I bought from an independent dealer used in 04 with 26K miles. Took it to the dealer and there 1st response was well its fine if you turn the bass down to below 0.

My response was that it was a terrible response. They then said well it will take a week or so to get the speaker in. I said ok call me when it was in. They fixed it for free, under warranty.

Interesting. Very few folks here have had to have a new tranny on their 7th gen. What was the problem/symptoms that led to your new tranny?

i had a whining noise after driving 20-30 minutes pushing the car 60-70 or on ds/manual mode but the worst was decrease in power with the whining noise
last week someone rear ended me not alot of damage but brought it to nissan thru insurance and they told me my tranny was making more noise then they liked and motor mount was in "deformed failed internally" (exactly what it says on the work order) lol
have a strut bar (rachingline) so i was glad they didnt bit*h about it other than that my fav car

i had the 2011 mustang v6 305hp for a week it was nice but not like the max
max is sooo much smoother acceleration and much more aggressive looking

the tranny started acting up after the service bulletin last month to reflash the tranny computer so guys make sure its not overheating the tranny on long runs... they replaced the entire tranny not just torqueconverter like others ...
i live in florida so this summer was brutal so it happens where powerplant parts fail luckily theirs warranties and find a good dealer who respects their customers anybody in florida tampa bay area (lokey nissan is the best ive ever dealt with)

Max4life2010 - Thanks for bringing us up to date on your situation. The summer heat has been absolutely awful, indeed.

Several weeks ago, a home exploded and burned about two miles west of me (two bodies were found inside), but the firemen arrived in an ambulance because both their trucks had been put out of commission by our brutal heat.

Two fire trucks arrived later from another municipality, but the part of the home that survived the explosion was already burned to the ground and the adjacent home badly damaged.

The primary concern with CVTs from day one has been handling the intense heat they generate. So far, this CVT (newly designed for the 7th gen Maxima) has done very well. I think I have read of three here with problems. That speaks well of this tranny, because it has been on the road since June of 2008.

I read this has been the hottest summer in 75 years, mostly due to the record temps in the south.

Monte - You are behind, my friend. It is no longer called the DFW area. The name was officially changed to Hades last month.
